[ ADVERTISE! ]

We've got a few rules that we'd like for you to follow when advertising! And of course, affiliating with another site.

.01 Make sure to advertise as one of your character names! We do not want you advertising falsely as an administrator.
.02 After you have advertised on someone else's site, please go to the Currency/Store

[/color] claims. To find them, without this link, click on Claims > Not To Be Forgotten Claims > Currency/Store. This will give you in character money to use, as well as let us know where you've posted so we can acknowledge/praise, as well as so that we don't accidentally advertise where we shouldn't.
.03 We do not want you handling the link back advertisements. That will be for either an administrator, or for an advertising mod to do.
.04 Use the appropriate code for the appropriate site! Meaning, use the Proboards code for Proboards sites, and InvisionFree codes, for InvisionFree sites!
.05 If the site that you're advertising on has any rules for advertising, please read them before posting!
.06 In regards to affiliating... Please make sure that you send the banner code in a PM to the head admin (Dizzy). We have two sections for advertising, Scrolling and Static. Static affiliates should be sites similar in theme to ours. If you have any questions as to what that might be, do not hesitate to get a hold of one of the admins. The scrolling affiliates can be absolutely anything.

Someone once said that the end of the world would be like watching "The Happening" while listening to R.E.M.'s, "It's The End of the World" on repeat.

After one too many drinks, and many more trips through the guardrail of good sense, one might find the comedic value of that statement. Of course, you'd have to tie in the fact that the person that finds the humor in such sentiments [i]has[/i] to be completely insensitive, considering the end of the world has already came and went.

And yeah... It was a little like the aforementioned statement. Although, most people are too busy trying to survive to make [i]that[/i] joke.

It's been two years since the relatively, anti climactic apocalypse came and went, putting us at (you guessed it folks) the year, 2014.

So, let's just get some things out in the open. No, there wasn't a nuclear holocaust. No, the trees didn't rape us like Evil Dead had professed they would. No, we didn't go completely nutpoo insane and try to eat each oth-- Okay, maybe it would be better if I just explained what happened.

Two years ago, mother nature decided that it was time to bitch smack us back into submission. We had overstepped our boundaries and started to push our world into a corner... And that's when it's fight or flight instinct kicked in; what perfect timing, right?

As with all things, the world was constantly growing and changing. Developing; evolving. Our plant life decided that, it didn't want it's life goal to be to get eaten! So, it started to develop this natural compound that, over the years, would start to get to us; start to make us absolutely insane. Who knows how long the plants have been working on offing us!

This is where you're going to start guessing, "[i]Oh, well, the people that only eat meat were [u]totally[/u] okay, right?[/i]"

Animals eat the plants, we eat the animals. Got it? It's the Circle of Life, my good friend. I suggest you start getting acquainted with it.

But anyway, I digress.

The toxin builds up in human's systems, causing us to slowly turn into, I guess you could call them "Zombies." They're batpoo insane, and just [i]really[/i] want to mowdown on people's flesh. But the problem is, that it is a slow and... barely noticeable process. You start to lose your sanity in subtle ways at first... and then you go absolutely bonkers.

Very few people out there are immune; we all live in fear that slowly, we'll start to become zombies.

Beyond that, we've got plenty of other poo to worry about. How about those Raiders? Hopping from house to house, stealing whatever they can... Raping, mugging. Yeah, class acts, right? Sad part is, most of them were lawyers before the end of the world. HA! No, I'm just pulling your leg. These ruffians were always "pieces of work." But, in all seriousness, you have these guys who are absolutely [i]out[/i] of their minds. Then you have the "Crusaders." Religious zealots that believe that God has chosen to smite all of us for premarital sex. Then there are these people that call themselves the Old Bloods. They're... kinda like our vampiric EMTs. They're not so bad; a little morally ambiguous, but... Ehn, well, if you ever meet one, you can make your own opinion. Then, there are people like me, Nicky Nuclear, who are just trying to rebuild society.

Oh, and zombies. Did I mention zombies?
