Typical Physical Indicators _______________________________ Old Bloods are creatures of grace, and beauty. They use a sensuality, and tend to be the apple of everyone's eye at any given point in time. There is always something stoic, if not, statuesque about an Old Blood, even if they are completely loud and belligerent. They prefer clothes of silk, or something similar to then time in which they were born. Old Bloods that are active in the coven tend to wear nothing but black or white. Those that have strayed a bit from the order we'll wear a bit more color, but even then, sapphire and blood red are as far as they'll go. Those who are blending in? Well, they'll dress like everyone else. As far as the changes that their body makes, their skin is a great deal paler, as though deprived of blood. Their eyes seem brighter. Icy blue eyes will seem a great deal more intense on an Old Blood. While, most are very good at hiding their fangs, they do have pointed eye teeth as well.

The Coven ________________________________ The Coven is something that all Old Bloods are familiar with. Every Old Blood that was ever created was welcome amongst the ranks of their brethren. It's a dark order, prominently based around keeping themselves secret, and providing devotees to those that were younger and in need of something to... eat. The Order has very many restrictions. Most of them are put in place for the sake of conformity, to make sure that if they were to leave the Coven at any given point in time, an Old Blood would still be recognizable by another Old Blood. The other regulations were put in place to ensure that they would never feed off of an undeserving creature, and only feed off of what are called, 'devotees'.
In essence, one could call The Coven a cult. Upon becoming a part of the Coven, they were to forget their origins, and forget their stigmas that they would have against others. Their sexuality, their religion, their skin pigmentation... All things that would cause issues amongst the ranks. They are to live, only in Coven Houses in their area, unless they were to be labeled renegades and rogues. Very few escape their ranks. Those that travel are generally diplomats of sorts, hoping to find Devotees for their brethren.
Devotees are humans that are brought in from the outside world to be a feeding source for those that need the blood. They are lulled in with promises of being saved from the infection. Some, if the Old Blood likes them old enough will be promised the gift of immortality. However, most Old Bloods turn during their end of the world. They feast upon the flesh of those that are not infected as a form of sustenance. As time goes on, they continue to hunger only for blood. These Old Bloods tend to be stronger than those given the dark gift. However, it also depends on how old their Sire is.
This isn't to say that no one ever escapes The Coven. Quite a few Old Bloods manage to escape their safe houses, in hopes of living a 'normal life.' They are considered Rogues, and are treated as dangerous fugitives by their brethren. They swear off the ideals of the Coven, and pave their own path in life, taking extreme precautions in who and what they feed off of. If they feed off of a Zombie, they run the risk of catching the same affliction. And slowly dying.

Mentality and History ________________________________ Old Bloods are creatures that are meant to be mysterious. They carry themselves with a cold, aloof sensuality. They can be very manipulative and very deceitful. Those that are heavily involved in The Coven carry themselves with an elitism. They know that they have a gift that all humans would want; immortality. And they are not above flaunting the fact that they have the power over life and death. They are hungry, and carnal at times (especially amongst the younger Old Bloods), but for the most part, they are cool and composed in times where they have no right to be. They can be described as statuesque and unreadable.
Every plague, every famine has created it's own set of Old Bloods. They all have their own specific histories. However, The Coven was created shortly thereafter the Bubonic Plague. Their numbers were so many, and their victim count was up so high that mankind almost went extinct in that area. Something needed to be done to regulate their consumption of the mortals.

What Are The Old Bloods? ________________________________ Old Bloods are creatures that are oddly like Vampires, however, they have different rules to play by, different ways of being born, and of course, different ways to kill them. Old Bloods do not like being called Vampires because they are drastically different; especially those older than a few hundred years old. They were there from the beginning seeing the rise and fall of empires... They do not take kindly to assumptions about their kind when they are based off of nothing more than folklore, that was created because of them. But, that is a conversation to have with the Old Bloods themselves.
There are only two ways for an Old Blood to be created. The first is to feed off of the flesh of someone that was not infected with whatever toxin had caused them to become sick, until they become creatures that can sustain themselves on nothing but their blood. Eventually, their body begins to turn for these specific feeding needs. Their skin bleaches slightly, and their eye teeth grow out to help them puncture skin that much more easily. The second, and of course, most famed way of turning into an Old Blood is by the ingestion of blood from a mortal, into an Old Blood and then, the Old Blood giving their blood to the mortal.
Unlike what most people believe, Old Bloods can walk outside during the day, can't be killed with crucifixes, can see their reflections in mirrors, and can procreate (wait, what?!). Old Bloods are exactly like mortals, with the exception of their body using blood to keep all of it's organs like new, and nourished.

Settlement Locations ________________________________ Most Old Bloods spend their time in Anbhas, which is where all of their covens are. However, there are a few Old Bloods that travel through all settlements in search of Devotees. And then again, there are also some Old Bloods that have abandoned the ways of The Coven, and move about with whatever social group they're pretending to be a part of.
