It was the first time Elizabeth had been out on her own since joining Mila’s band of raiders a week ago. It had been an eventful week of activities with its fair share of moments one would much rather forget. And where better to attempt to clear one’s mind? The forest just outside of Rustboro was perfect for a quiet retreat, a place to think and mull things over.
She had been alone now for an hour and was surprised nobody had come looking for her. She merely shrugged her shoulders as she continued with her Tai-Chi. It was a past time she had been taught by one her friends back in Chicago, before the end of the world, mostly after dark when she snuck out for various social occasions that weren’t always heavy drinking sessions. Lisa had been taught the art from a young age and had taught Elizabeth various positions and processes that can be used to help relieve stress and stretch out the body. Liz was a quick learner and managed to pick up not just the basic starting poses but also some slightly more advanced techniques.
Since the end of the world, Elizabeth had taken to inventing a few more poses of her own, inspired by Tai-Chi, that helped her unwind and relax. She had no way of knowing if these positions were indeed real Tai-Chi positions or if they were pure fabrication, but they helped her so that’s all that seemed to matter. Elizabeth had been taught most of these positions on a balance beam and often found it hard to find a suitable replacement whilst on her travels but luckily had stumbled upon this creek with a selection of boulders at its base. They were proving perfect for a place Elizabeth could balance on to focused on maintaining proper positions and the sounds of the waterfall and river running beneath her were the perfect compliment.
